Volunteer Workshop Wednesday 7 December, 6-9pm
As part of the 2022 Christmas giving initiative, the Busbridge Wreath project is designed to get people together for a fun festive activity, AND raise money for the Christmas Appeal in aid of the Cellar Camino Café!

Find out about the Cellar Café

The wreaths will be as lovely as any you can buy for the money, and you’ll know that they have been made with love, using locally foraged greenery and decorations, …for a great local cause!

They’ll be sustainable! To add to the feel-good factor, we aim to make them with as much compostable, recycled, reusable materials as possible. (Read on to see if you can help with this.)

HURRY! Every door in Busbridge and beyond will want one of these wreaths this Christmas. We expect demand to outstrip supply, so please do get to the café ASAP on Thursday 8th December, or after. You’ll be able to pay by cash or card.

Volunteer Wreath Workshop 7 Dec 2022

Sign up (using the event link above) for the Wreath Making workshop at Busbridge Church on Weds 7 December, 6pm-9pm. It will be an enjoyable evening in church, with a chance to learn or practice a new skill, with music and good company.

We are delighted, and really grateful that experienced wreath designers Dawn and Kath are giving their time to plan and lead the activity. They will provide instructions and style tips to help produce the wreaths.

No experience necessary and it’s free to join, but numbers are limited. A pair of secateurs would be handy if you have them, and perhaps an apron (if required). Comfy shoes are also a good idea as you’ll be on your feet!

Hot drinks will be available and you are welcome to bring and share a bottle, nibbles and snacks to keep everyone going.

Greenery collection 3-7 DEC at the old rectory

We will use garden and hedge row greenery and would be grateful for donations of the following – large cuttings are best, and no smaller than 20cm please:

NO HOLLY PLEASE, but we would like all sorts of evergreen things like:

Eucalyptus
Ivy
Choisia
Viburnum, incl berries and flowers
Variegated leaves like Pittosporum

We’ll need lots of everything, so if you have things to offer, please email vic.hicks@bhcgodalming.org. Please keep different types separately and avoid mixed bags.

…And decorations?
previously used artificial berries, cones and decorations
Fir cones
Pheasant Feathers
Dog wood – red or black stalks
Dried poppy and other flower heads

Donations of “luxe” satin/velvet/fabric ribbon that you might like to donate.

If you have any questions please contact Vic Hicks or Dawn O’Toole via the church office. t: 01483 421267.
