How you can get involved
The Church of England are calling for November (during the winter lockdown) to be a month of prayer, and Busbridge&Hambledon Church is committed to doing just that.
Each night at 6pm church bells across the country will ring out and we ask that at this time, from wherever you are, you pause to pray with us. Below is a prayer you can use or you can use the following link to the daily prayers the Church of England have provided https://www.churchofengland.org/resources/call-prayer-nation or bring your own prayer before God.
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious,
be with those who care for the sick,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may find comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen.

Do join us in the BHC Prayer Room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am – 9:20am where we will continue to pray for our community and the nation.
On Friday 13th November we are joining with the rest of the Church of England in a national day of prayer. Please find a time on this day to pray for our nation, our government, the NHS and all those caring for the sick, all those facing an uncertain future, support and comfort for all those suffering at the hands of depression and anxiety. Together, as a nation, let us speak the name of Jesus over our country and Gods people.

On Saturday 14th November we will be holding our second prayer vigil from 8am-8pm. Due to lockdown restrictions we are asking people to sign up to do this remotely. We will be praying specifically for families in the widest context, both in our Church family, our communities of Busbridge and Hambledon and across the nation as we face our second lockdown and as unemployment continues to rise. Please do sign up for one hour in the day or if you prefer to pray with others you can join us in one of our three Zoom calls that day 8am, 12midday and 5pm in the BHC PUBLIC PRAYER ROOM
For on-going daily prayer the Church of England have provided resources to help on their website (see link here https://www.churchofengland.org/resources/call-prayer-nation#monday). There are focus points for each day as well as prayer for each week.
We may be in a storm but the storm is not the end …
