This is the page to check for all the fun social things that are happening at church or other places around the parishes of Busbridge and Hambledon.

They are for everyone in our local communities and beyond.

There isn’t a good collective noun for the extra events that are happening this Christmas, but with the odd exception, the following will all involve sharing Christmas hospitality, and, most probably, a mince pie!

Advent Launch

Wed 30 Nov at school pick up: Buddy and friends will be out to invite parents, carers and children to come and find their star in church.

NEXUS CHARITy QUIZ

ABC Toddler’s Christmas Party

Tues 13 Nov 9.30am in the Old Rectory: The Tuesday adults, babies, and toddlers’ group will celebrate Christmas on the last session of term.

Sherry with the Vicar

Thursday 15 Dec 2-4pm in Busbridge Church: Simon is looking forward to a glass of sherry or a cup of tea with Prime Time once again as they make up the Christingle Kits for the Christmas Eve service.

Carols at the Pub

Thurs 15 Dec 7pm at the Merry Harriers in Hambledon: Come along for a drink and sing-along with some carols led by Simon Willetts. Book a table if you’d like to eat too.

Gabe’s Advent Hunt

18-24 Dec. A fun activity to do with children in the lo-o-o-o-ng week between schools breaking up and Christmas.

Howling Carols at the Busbridge Rec

Weds 21 Dec 6pm Carol Singers depart Busbridge Church, arrive at the Howling Owl, Holloway Hill Sports Pavilion at approx 7pm for carols in the recently refurbished bar. Singers welcome to join at any point. The Howling Owl will be serving soup and bacon rolls for the occasion, will the full bar service.

Carols at the Hambledon Village Shop

Christmas Eve 12 noon: The village gathers outside the shop on Hambledon Cricket Green to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and sing a few carols.
