As we sadly face another church season where we can’t enjoy the usual activities together, the CYF team have come up with a great idea for Ark and Explorers to do during Lent.
Lent in a Bag
We have prepared bags for the children containing a paperchain kit which have a prayer challenge on each strip or link. There are 20 in all to keep you going through Lent, with something to do every 2-3 days. (You get a few days off!)
What do we have to do?
The idea is that the children make a chain as they do the challenges.
I would love it if parents could send photos of their chains to her as they do them (email: judith.hawkey@bhcgodalming.org), or post them on the BHC Together face book page.
There are instructions on the outside of the bag. As a first challenge, there’s a word missing at the end. It says you will need glue or sellotape to stick the …. [you have to guess the blank]. (Actually…somehow “paperchain” got cut off and the production team didn’t notice until the job was done so apologies for that!!! )
Where do we get a bag?
The bags are available from both Busbridge and Hambledon church porches, so please do collect them. If you start late (after Ash Wed, 17 Feb) you do have time to catch up! If for any reason you can not collect yours please let me know and I will deliver them to you.
Enjoy the Lent in a Bag challenge, and please remember the CYF team are here and we are praying for you, please do contact us if we can help you in anyway.
Warmest wishes and blessings,
