These notes are based on the two readings for each of the Sundays in Advent. The questions are just examples as Starters for 10 for discussion to flow. While they progress from the Old Testament reading to the New Testament, use them as you feel is best for your group. Make sure however that there are links to life today and possible practical responses.

We are living through very uncertain times with a new Monarch, a new Prime Minister and Cabinet, political discord nationally and internationally alongside high inflation. There will be more uncertainties that individuals, families, churches and organisations will face over the Autumn and Winter. The Sermon on the Mount provides a valuable framework for how we approach those uncertainties. These notes accompany the sermon series on this topic.
